Old Milk Glass Westmoreland Cabin Bank Covered Dish
Old Milk Glass Treasure - This little cabin covered dish was made by the Westmoreland Specialty Company over 100 years ago. These containers were made by the company to sell mustard. They made designs that could be used afterward as banks, sugar containers, and the like. In this case, it was made to be used as a bank. The chimney has a thin cover of glass inside which would have been knocked out and if you were lucky and didn't break the whole top, you had a bank. There are two outside corners which have small flat flakes on them. The one in the photo is the larger, the other is much thinner. Other than that, it is in good condition with no cracks and the seal still in place.
